SEVEN SOURCES I ALMOST TRUST

Sort of…

I watch the news, read a bit, talk to people, and discount most of what I hear/see. Here’s a pretty fair breakdown as to how the various sources impact me.

If people call other people names, even if they offer som evidence, I give them about 1% consideration. When people say somebody is a Hitler, or a pedophile, that 1% goes fast and I’m on to something else. If they have proof, they might jump to 5%, but even that is quick and gone. People who call other people names are the names they call others.

I actually give 10% consideration to activists. This includes politicians, feminists, people with an ax to grind. Their activism shows me that they are a wee bit unbalanced. 10% and they are gone.

The news media gets maybe 10% consideration. They are activists, but they cherry pick their sources to back up their ‘news.’ If they prove their story with reliable raw data they can jump to 50% consideration, but this is rare. They are paid to excite us, to sell to us, not educate us.

My own eyes get 75% consideration. Even if I see something that sounds so-o-o right, I am leery of incorrect context, clever cutting of clips, and so on. Of course, if somebody put a dollar in myhand I wouldn’t believe it until I spent it. 0;)

First impressions get 80% consideration. This is because raw data is most easily seen at the beginning of a news cycle. Of course there are phantom impressions, I’m as insane as anybody else on this planet, but do you remember when…(take a breath)…Ukraine tried to join NATO and Russia didn’t want nukes on its border so they went to war and in the opening months over 30 labs producing weapons of mass destruction for THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and (allegedly) paid off through the Biden…enterprise? That was the first day, and it rapidly disappeared. Was it propaganda? Or did the raw data pop out before it could be suppressed? Hmmm?

History gets 50% consideration. This is because history is written by the conquerers.

Purple gets NO consideration. This refers to the comment, ‘Don’t think of the color purple,’ which is impossible because the question has already created the concept of purple in the mind. When I see an advertisement, for instance, I automatically make a decision to NEVER buy that product. People popping a purple in on me causes me to have extreme revulsion and a reverse reaction.

And that’s how I do it. Apply this to all your sources, all inputs of data in your life, and you might just be as sane as me. Stop laughing.
